Mit dieser gelungenen Aufnahme der äusseren Umrandung des prächtigen Westflügels beginnen wir unsere Dokumentation über die in Istanbuls ältesten Stadtteils Fatih beheimatete Hagia Sophia.

Deutlich zu erkennen sind die Grundmauern der aus dem Konstantinopel stammenden Festung darunter mit dem typischen romanischen Türbogen an der zum Betrachter zeigenden Spitze.
